किसी भी लड़की के विवाह के लिए बृहस्पति का शुभ होना बहुत जरुरी है। सामान्य रूप से तो सभी लड़किओं को बृहस्पतिवार का व्रत करना चाहिए परन्तु जिनके विवाह में बाधाएं आती है अथवा किसी भी कारण से विवाह नहीं हो रहा हो तो उन्हें तो अवश्य ही यह व्रत करना चाहिए। क्योकि बृहस्पति के निर्बल या अशुभ होने पर भी विवाह में बाधा आती है।
इस व्रत का आरम्भ शुक्ल पक्ष के किसी भी बृहस्पतिवार से किया जा सकता है। परन्तु यदि गुरुपुष्य , अमृतसिद्धि, या सर्वार्थ सिद्धि योग में किया जाये तो और भी अच्छा है। जिस दिन व्रत आरम्भ करना हो , उस दिन बृहस्पति की होरा में , जो सूर्योदय से लगभग एक घंटे तक रहती है ,उसमे स्नान करके पीले वस्त्र पहन लें। घर में ही केले के वृक्ष के समक्ष संकल्प लें -
मम शीघ्र विवाहार्थ तथा सर्व सुख प्राप्तयर्थ बृहस्पतिवार कथा श्रवण पूर्वकं बृहस्पतिवार व्रत अहं करिष्ये।
ये संकल्प बोल कर हाथ जोड़ ले और देवगुरु बृहस्पति का स्मरण करें। अपने विवाह में आ रही बाधाओं को दूर करने का निवेदन करते हुए केले के वृक्ष पर हल्दी से तिलक करें। शुद्ध घी का दीपक जलाएं। धूप व अगरबत्ती अर्पित करें। फिर बृहस्पतिवार व्रत कथा का पाठ आरम्भ करें। कथा के बाद गुरु गुरु स्तोत्र , गुरु कवच , व गुरु के १ ० ८ नाम का उच्चारण करें। फिर आरती करके प्रणाम करके उठ जाये। शाम के समय फिर से घी का दीपक जलाये। धूप अगरबत्ती जलाये। मीठा भोजन करें। इस प्रकार सही तरीके से व्रत करें। जिससे शुभ फल प्राप्त हो। गलत विधि से व्रत करने पर अशुभ फल मिलता है।

It is very important for Jupiter to be auspicious for any girl's marriage. In general, all the boys should fast on Thursday but those who have obstacles in their marriage or are not getting married for any reason, they must definitely fast this. Because Jupiter is weak or inauspicious, marriage is interrupted.
This fast can be started from any of the Shukla party on Thursday. But if it is done in Siddhi Yoga in Gurupushu, Amrut Siddhi, or Sarvartha then it is even better. The day when the fast is to be started, on that day, in Jora's Hora, which lasts about an hour from the sunrise, bath in it and wear yellow clothes. Resolve in front of the banana tree at home -
Mum early marriage and Thursday evening listening to stories of all the pleasures of the eunuchs.
Speak these resolutions and join hands and remember Devguru Jupiter. Apply turmeric to the banana tree, requesting to remove the obstacles coming in your marriage. Burn the lamps of pure ghee. Offer sun and incense. Then start the Thursday fast story narrative. After the story, please pronounce Guru Master Stotra, Guru Kavach, and Guru's Name 088. Then do the aarti and salute it. Burn the ghee lamp again in the evening. Burning incense incense Eat sweet food So fast in this way. By which auspicious results are obtained Fasting by wrong method gets inauspicious result.
