                                   मांगलिक योग का नाम सुनते ही प्रत्येक व्यक्ति चिंतित हो जाता है।  खुद की कुंडली में हो अथवा अपने बेटे - बेटी की कुंडली में हो , व्यक्ति परेशान रहता ही है. खुद की कुंडली में होने पर वह अनेक समस्याओ का सामना करता है।  चाहे वह व्यक्तिगत जीवन हो अथवा विवाह के पश्चात् का जीवन हो।  यदि अपने पुत्र - पुत्री की कुंडली में मांगलिक योग हो तो व्यक्ति तब भी परेशान रहता है।  क्योकि एक तरफ तो उसके बच्चों का स्वभाव मंगल के प्रभाव से बहुत उग्र हो जाता है जिससे घर में बार -बार झगड़े होते है।  दूसरी तरफ बच्चों को जीवन के प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में संघर्ष करना पड़ता है।  और सबसे ज्यादा परेशानी तब होती है जब बच्चों के विवाह सम्बन्ध तय नही होते  अथवा तय होकर टूट जाते है।  

                                    कुछ कथित ज्योतिष विद्वान् ये कहते है कि २६ या २८ साल की उम्र के बाद मांगलिक दोष समाप्त हो जाता है  अथवा ३० वर्ष की उम्र के पश्चात् मांगलिक योग का विचार नही करना चाहिए। इस प्रकार के भ्रम अपनी जेब की पूर्ति करने हेतु या अपने परंपरागत यजमान  को खुश करने हेतु फैलाते है. . जबकि इस नही होता है।  यदि लड़का या लड़की मांगलिक है तो वो हमेशा रहेगा।  उसमे उम्र की कोई सीमा नही है।  वह जीवन भर मांगलिक ही रहता है. . उसका विवाह भी मांगलिक से करवाया जाता है।  मांगलिक से मांगलिक का विवाह इसलिए करवाया जाता है कि मांगलिक व्यक्ति ही दूसरे मांगलिक व्यक्ति की ऊर्जा , को सहन कर सकता है।  साधारण व्यक्ति सहन नही कर सकता।  यदि साधारण व्यक्ति से विवाह कर दिया जाएगा तो वह शारीरिक व मानसिक रूप से पीड़ित रहेगा।  इस प्रकार की अनेक तकनीकी बातें है जो विवाह के समय कुंडली मिलान में देखनी चाहिए।  यह ज्योतिष और जन्मपत्री मिलान आदि तथ्य कोई जादू टोना या अंधविश्वास नही है।  यह सब तकनीकी बिंदु है, जिनमें सूक्ष्मता से विचार करना चाहिए।  जन्मपत्री किसी भी व्यक्ति का प्रतिबिम्ब होता है। इससे  उस व्यक्ति के आचार- विचार,  स्वभाव, शारीरिक संरचना , नाडी, रक्त मिलान , आदि अनेक बातों का ज्ञान होता है. 

                                  यहाँ स्पष्ट किया जायेगा कि कोई भी व्यक्ति मांगलिक कैसे होता है।   मांगलिक दोष के विषय में ज्योतिष ग्रन्थों में कहा गया है कि :-

                                        स्त्रीनां भर्तृ विनाश: , पुंसां भार्या विनश्यति।। 

 

 अर्थात जन्मपत्रिका में मंगल यदि पहले , चौथे , सातवें , आठवें, तथा बारहवें , भाव में हो तो मंगल दोष का निर्माण होता है।  जो जीवनसाथी का नाश करता है।  मंगल दोष को जन्म कुंडली के अलावा चन्द्र कुंडली और सूर्य कुंडली से भी देखा जाता है।  आजकल कुछ विद्वान शुक्र कुंडली से भी मंगल दोष का विचार करते है।  वे कहते है कि शुक्र भोग का कारक होता है।  विवाह में भोग ही मुख्य आधार होता है। यदि लड़के - लड़की में से एक का भी शुक्र कमजोर हुआ तो दाम्पत्य जीवन ख़राब हो जाता है।
