Sun in the third bhava means one should not stay with one's brother because this will result in obstacles in each other's growing fortunes. One's brothers and friends may be destroyed. One is enmical towards one's own people, friends and brothers. One may incur an injury in the hand. One may suffer from some pain in the fourth, fifth, eighth and twelfth years. अशुभ फल :
तृतीयभाव में सूर्य होने से छोटे भाई संख्या में थोड़े होते हैं या बन्धुहीन होता
है। बड़े भाई की मृत्यु होती है। तृतीयभाव में स्थित सूर्य भाई-बन्धुओं से हानि
कराता है। सगे भाइयों से दु:ख प्राप्त होता है। तृतीय में रवि होने से जातक को भाई
के साथ नहीं रहना चाहिए अन्यथा एक दूसरे के भाग्योदय में कई एक विघ्न उपस्थित
होंगे। अपने भाई बांधवों का नाश होता है।
अपने पक्ष के लोगों का शत्रु होता है अर्थात् अपने भाई-बन्धुओं के साथ इसका
बर्ताव शत्रु जैसा होता है। हाथ में चोट वगैरह लग जाती हैं। चौथे, पंचम में, आठवें वा बारहवें वर्ष कुछ पीड़ा होती है। स्त्रीराशि का रवि होने से विभाजन
सम्बन्धी झगड़े कोर्ट में चलते हैं।
